“Driving Home” is no ordinary ‘road movie’. Colin takes on a lifetime challenge of driving 14,000 miles across Africa’s punishing terrain, in spite of being severely paralyzed. He has a strong team of five, a specially adapted vehicle and a dream to follow.
The project is a creative collaboration between The Colin Javens Spinal Injury Trust and DOCS and CUTS. We are currently at the stage of interviewing the team members and other key characters. Using the existing footage shot by the team members themselves we’re working our way towards a feature length documentary that will convey this life-affirming story.
